Meet The Founder

QUESTION: Hi Tasha! Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

TASHA: Sure, I'm a wife and mother of 3. Usually you can find me making memories with family and friends, then freezing these moments with my camera to cherish later. Yes, photography & videography are my favorite pastimes! I love entertaining & extending hospitality. I'm also a foodie and enjoy trying new foods from other cultures. I appreciate interior design, music, roller skating, poetry, nature, animals, traveling… just to name a few!

QUESTION: So, how did the seed of serving others begin, specifically for the 55 + community?

TASHA: When I think about it, the seed was actually planted at the age of 22 when I watched my mother battle with stage four cancer. I've observed firsthand the difficulties and struggles that come along with caring for someone you love. I can recall sleeping on the floor, close enough to my mother's bed, so that I wouldn’t miss hearing her whisper for assistance at any moment.

QUESTION: As devastating as that was, how did that experience have a positive influence in your personal life?

TASHA: The loss of her caused me to gravitate to those who were wiser and older than me. For over two decades, I’ve had an innate desire to support those whom I've adopted as mothers & grandmothers, with small tasks, errands & companionship. Their love and presence in my life have taught me the meaning of compassion and what it truly means to serve others.

QUESTION: So, when exactly did "Hunidew" come into the picture?

TASHA: Well, in 2020, Covid-19 increased my awareness of the demand for help especially for those who are seasoned in age. One in particular, who is very special to me, made me realize that there were more people like her who needed assistance. She eventually started battling with dementia and in the fall of 2022, while meal prepping, I had an epiphany! Having a background of home-management & organizing, I've decided to extend these skills to assist others beyond my personal life. I launched it in 2023 and then... there was HUNIDEW! Fast forward, here I am today, doing what I love.

1. What Exactly Is a Concierge Service? Think of a concierge service as the personal assistant you didn’t know you needed! Personal concierges can provide a wide range of services for anyone. However, our "sweet spot" is helping the 55 + community with errands, home-organizing, companionship, and transportation to medical appointments. Simply put, we’re here to make your life easier and more enjoyable.

2. Who Can Benefit From Hunidew? If you're 55 + BETTER and desiring to make daily life less hectic and more fulfilling, then you can certainly benefit from our services. Whether you're active and busy or prefer a simpler and slower pace, we’ve got you covered no matter the reason.

3. What If I Only Want to Use One Or Two Of Your Services, Is That Still Ok? Absolutely! Think of us like a menu—you choose what you need, when you need it. It's just that simple.

4. How Much Do Your Services Cost? We offer two options:

a.) A la carte: $40 per hour. ( Note: This option is ideal for those who need one-time or occasional services. )

b.) Packages: starting at $35 per hour. ( Note: This option is perfect for those who need regular, ongoing assistance and want to maximize value. By choosing a package, you can enjoy the convenience of consistent, reliable support. Example -daily, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. )

5. Are Your Services Available On Weekends and Holidays? Currently, we are not. But, we understand that life doesn’t stop on weekends or holidays, so we do have a plan B! We can refer you to a list of other resources who can!

6. What’s the Difference Between Your Senior Concierge Service vs. a Personal Home Care Service? Most personal home care services provide medical related and/or personal care, such as bathing, clothing, laundry, cooking etc. While Hundiew does not offer this form of assistance, we have a network of trusted partners who specialize in these services, and we’d be happy to refer you to them! In the meantime, just think of Hunidew, as your "go-to" for errands, organizing, companionship & transportation to medical appts!

7. Do You Offer Cleaning Services? We don’t provide full house cleaning, but we do offer light household chores to keep things tidy. This includes loading and unloading the dishwasher, making the bed, emptying the trash, wiping down kitchen counters, and dining tables. If you need more extensive cleaning services, we can recommend some great professionals who can help with that!

8. How Do I Get Started? It’s easy! Just call, email, or visit our contact page to schedule a conversation with us. We’ll discuss your needs and create a plan that works for you... one task at a time!

9.) What Payment Method Do You Accept?

We accept cash, check, venmo and credit/debit cards.

10.) What If I Need To Cancel Or Reschedule My Appointment? Life happens, and we totally get it! So, if you need to cancel or reschedule, we'd greatly appreciate it if you give us a 48-hour notice to avoid cancellation fees and to keep everything running smoothly. If it's less than 48 hours, there’s a $40 cancellation fee. We appreciate your understanding—this helps us provide the best service possible for everyone!
